About Our Products
 Canterbury Cabin is a small, family run business specializing in goat milk soap, soy candles, goat milk hand & body crème, lip balm and other bath & body products.
All Canterbury Cabin products are handmade by the business owner, Lorrie Beach, in Greene, NY.
Natural oils and butters are essential to our products and include coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, palm oil, shea butter, mango butter, kokum butter, rice bran oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, safflower oil, soybean oil, vitamin-e and more.
Goatmilk Soap
Our soap is made completely from scratch in small batches using the cold-process soapmaking method. We do not use melt & pour or other commercial pre-manufactured transparent or opaque base products in any of our products.
All soap is hand-stirred in small batches using the goat milk, natural botanical plant or nut oils, exotic natural butters, essential oils or fragrance oils. All ingredients are thoughtfully selected for their unique characteristics that they bring to each bar of goat milk soap. We use only high quality vegetable and nut oils in our goatmilk soap consisting of Olive, Coconut, Rice Bran, Soybean, Hemp, Palm, Shea Butter, and Cocoa Butter.
Other than goat milk, we do not use animal products in our soap.
We love color . . . Our goat milk soap is colored with naturally ground spices, ultramarines, oxides, micas, clays, dead sea mud and clarified activated charcoal of coconut shells.
We love adding texture to our goat milk soap in the form of ground oatmeal, herbs, dried fruit peels, poppy seeds, blueberry or cranberry seeds, coffee grounds, cornmeal, finely ground pumice, and bio-degradable jojoba beads.
We love scent! We have two collections of scented goat milk soap, both highly fragranced with superior quality essential oils or fragrance oils. Purely Essential Oil Soap is fragranced only with natural essential oils. Phenomenal Fragrance Oil Soap is fragranced with nature-identical fragrance oils.
Each bar of our beautiful Goat Milk Soap is hand-cut and weighs a generous 5.2 oz to 5.5 oz.
Each soap bar is wonderfully unique in appearance, especially the swirled soap; no two bars are identical.
A well-cared for bar of handmade soap will last a long time; place on a soap deck away from water between uses to ensure a longer-lasting bar.
Soy Candles
Our richly scented, hand-poured soy candles are made using eco-friendly 100% soy wax derived from soybeans. Eco-friendly/cotton wicks. No paraffin additives.
Soy wax comes from a natural, renewable resource and is bio-degradable.
It can be easily cleaned up from solid surfaces with soap and hot water.
All soy candles are offered in an 8oz. glass jar with a charming rustic bronze lid.
When burned properly, Canterbury Cabin 8oz. jar soy candles will last for approximately 45 - 50 hours.
While soy wax is eco-friendly and burns with less soot, the soy wax is a challenge to work with when making candles, especially when making colored candles. Soy naturally likes to 'frost' or mottle and sometimes has uneven surface after burning. However, be assured that we do not add paraffin to smooth out the tops of the candles or prevent frosting.
Lip Balm
Canterbury Cabin lip balm is handmade using natural butters, waxes and oils, and lip-safe flavorings…a must for fantastic, soft, kissable lips.
Naturally pampering lip balm ingredients include a blend of golden beeswax, shea butter, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, candellila wax, and vitamin-e.
All lip balms are color-free. Contains No petroleum-based additives.
Soy Clamshells
Canterbury Cabin Soy Melts are made from the same eco-friendly, biodegradable 100% soy wax and highly-scented fragrance oils.
Each clamshell contains atleast 3oz of aromatic soy wax. Add 1 to 2 cubes in a tart warmer, or mix-and-match cubes of different fragrance types for a unique aroma experience. Soy melts are not available in all fragrances.
Goat Milk Hand & Body Crème
Indulge your skin with Canterbury Cabin's rich, silky smooth goat milk hand & body crème. This luxurious goat milk hand & body crème is highly-scented with fabulous, skin-safe fragrances. A little goes a long way.
Naturally pampering ingredients include: Goat Milk, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, mango butter, shea butter, silk protein, aloe, and vitamin-e. Our lotion is color-free and is preserved with a skin-safe preservative.
Our products are Cruelty-Free. They are never tested on animals, only on family members and friends who happen to be willing subjects.
Our Goat Milk Soap and Hand & Body Creme are not vegan because they do contain high-fat goat milk.
Our lip balm is not vegan because it contains golden beeswax.
We believe that the goat milk and beeswax add essential properties to our soap, hand & body crème and lip balm and also shows our support to our local economy or small growers and producers.
